Château Les Hauts-Conseillants – Lalande Pomerol 

In de huidige vorm opgericht 1973 tijdens de mondiale olie crisis kochten ze 10 ha verlaten wijngaarden aan de rand van Pomerol op een plateau met een top bodem van klei, zand en kiezel. De stokken zijn inmiddels 35 jaar en ouder en Michel Rolland is actief als consultant in de wijnkelder.

Composed of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc aged in approximately one-third new oak, the medium garnet-purple colored 2015 Les Hauts-Conseillants hits the ground running with bold blackberries, cassis and crushed plums notes plus hints of bay leaves, smoked meats and black truffles. Medium to full-bodied and generously fruited in the mouth, it fills the palate with youthfully delicious, fresh black fruits, framed with chewy tannins and a lively backbone, finishing on a savory note. 90/100 Lisa Perotti-Brown
