Azienda Cincinnato

Een coöperatie gevestigd in het gebied Cori, 50 kilometer ten zuiden van Rome. De coöperatie is groot en beslaat in totaal 550 hectare, waarvan 100 hectare volledig biodynamisch, verdeeld over 130 families! Ze werken enkel en alleen met authentieke druivenrassen zoals Nero Buono, Cesanese, Bellone en Greco. Met respect voor de natuur en herkomst van de druiven maken ze gulle, gastronomische, Italiaanse slow-food wijnen. 

Review

The 2019 Cesanese Argeo is dark and rich, perfumed with violet florals, exotic spices and citrus-tinged blackberries. Its textures are silky and pliant, and a polished display of ripe black fruits is lifted by cool-toned minerality. This is youthfully dense and a bit monolithic today, tapering off lightly structured to notes of sweet lavender and hints of plum. While I don’t see the Argeo as a wine for long-term cellaring, a further year of maturity should allow it to reveal more of its charms. 90/100 Eric Guido
